FC 25, NBA 2K25 and PGA TOUR 2K25 on Your Phone: Where to Start

Practical starting points for FC 25, NBA 2K25 and PGA TOUR 2K25 owners: learn passing, shooting or swinging, then move into your chosen game mode.

In FC 25, start with passing and team movement; in NBA 2K25, shooting and playing against a defense; in PGA TOUR 2K25, shot selection and swing rhythm. These starting points are for owners of those three releases, taking you from a training mode to your first gameplay result on a phone. Menu names and console generations refer specifically to the versions listed.

What to prepare for the Xbox version on Android

In Remote Play, the game runs on your Xbox while your phone receives the picture and sends inputs. You need an installed game, the right to launch it, enabled console remote features and XBPlayer on Android. Start with a game you already have access to; the first-session checklist can help you prepare the connection.

If you choose the cloud, check access to the game separately in Microsoft's catalog for your account and region. XBPlayer does not include games or subscriptions. Before playing online, also check the publisher's server, event and mode availability: these can change for annual releases.

FC 25: Rush training and a camera for a small pitch

Open Training Centre and its Rush section. It includes a training match in which you control one outfield player, with button prompts and objectives. Follow the prompts to make several passes and runs: you need to see the ball, your player and a teammate before issuing the command. To control the whole team, choose Kick-Off; its Rush format also gives you control of the entire team.

Rush is a fast 5v5 format, not a promise of a relaxed match. Its basic controls match 11v11 soccer, while the training mode helps you learn the new rules. Learn the commands in your chosen control scheme before playing with others.

In Rush, compare Rush Broadcast and Rush Tactical cameras: the first shows the action closer up; the second offers a wider view. If zooming in makes you lose sight of an open teammate, return to the wider angle. The Xbox View button switches camera focus between the ball and your player, which is useful in a drill where you control one player.

For a more deliberate task, open your squad in Manager Career. Check names, positions and attributes before changing the formation: large cards do not automatically mean readable labels.

NBA 2K25: shooting and passing in Learn 2K

Update, October 30, 2026. 2K lists this date for NBA 2K25’s removal from sale. Online services end December 31, 2026: from January 1, 2027, MyCAREER and MyTEAM are unavailable. Existing owners retain supported offline modes, including Play Now and MyNBA; check 2K’s list for their limitations.

On Xbox Series X|S, choose Learn 2K from the main menu. It contains drills, minigames and practice situations. Start with a shooting lesson, repeat one technique using its prompts, then add passing and movement. This makes it easier to see which action is causing trouble.

This version includes Pro Stick Rhythm Shooting, a stick-based shooting system. Learn it separately through the game's tutorial: an unfamiliar movement rhythm should not immediately be mistaken for streaming latency. Making or missing a shot does not measure latency either. Watch whether the expected action happens and whether you have time to read the prompt.

If team management interests you more, try MyGM: it involves managing a roster and a general manager's responsibilities. It changes the task, but adds text and statistics. Do not assume career modes are guaranteed to work offline: the publisher specifies internet and account requirements for a number of NBA 2K25 features.

PGA TOUR 2K25: practice your swing in Training

From the main menu, open Play → Training. It offers lessons on swing basics, putting and shot selection, along with areas for independent practice. Start with one lesson and several identical shots. Have an internet connection and a 2K Account ready; the publisher lists both among the game's requirements.

In the Xbox scheme shown in the manual, you swing with the right stick: pull it back, then push forward. Clicking the right stick enables a practice swing. Check your layout's prompts before the drill, particularly after remapping buttons.

EvoSwing evaluates several components of a swing, so having time to think about a shot does not remove the demands of stick movement. To get started, you can try the Perfect Swing difficulty setting, which reduces the influence of external factors on your swing. If input feels delayed, check the stream and controller connection separately.

Before a shot, read the distance, direction and surface information. If you cannot make out the indicators, address the screen first; changing the control scheme will not enlarge the font.

How to identify what is getting in the way

A compatible physical controller connected by Bluetooth or USB is convenient for the first check. If you use XBPlayer's on-screen sticks and buttons, assess them separately: your fingers should not cover the ball, selected player or shot meter. You can change touch-control sizes and positions, but this does not enlarge objects or text inside the game.

  • The action is hard to see: first compare camera views or a larger screen. For menus, use the readability check.
  • A command behaves unexpectedly: compare the game's scheme with the lesson prompt and XBPlayer mappings. Repeat the same drill after changing one setting.
  • The picture stutters or response is inconsistent: return to checking the stream before making the drill harder. A string of missed shots does not by itself establish a network problem.

For a short session, choose one task in advance and check how to finish it and save the result you need. Do not expect leaving XBPlayer or opening a menu to stop an online match. The 15–20-minute session ideas can help you choose a manageable activity.
